Amazing news for our community! Windsor County Board of Realtors (WCBR) has made an incredible impact by donating $8,000 to HCRS’ Housing Contingency Fund, helping us provide direct support to clients facing housing instability and homelessness.
A Tournament with a Purpose
On September 16, WCBR hosted their annual golf tournament fundraiser, bringing together local businesses, community members, and golf enthusiasts—all for a great cause. The event raised funds for organizations working to improve the lives of Vermonters, and we’re honored that HCRS was chosen as a beneficiary!
This donation helps ensure that families in crisis can access emergency shelter, avoid eviction, and get the resources they need—when they need them most. The Housing Contingency Fund is a flexible, immediate support system that has already made a difference for so many people across Windsor and Windham counties.
“We are deeply grateful to Windsor County Board of Realtors for choosing HCRS as a beneficiary of this impactful event,” said George Karabakakis, Ph.D., CEO of HCRS. “This donation enables us to provide a vital safety net for people in need, giving them the stability and hope they deserve.”
Looking Ahead: More Support Through Golf
This generous gift from WCBR fuels our commitment to expanding our Housing Contingency Fund—and we’re keeping the momentum going! Mark your calendars for June 20, 2025, when we’ll be hosting our own HCRS Annual Golf Tournament at the stunning Brattleboro Country Club. Every swing at our event will help keep people in our community safe, supported, and housed.
