The nature area overlooks North Springfield Lake on the border of Springfield and Weathersfield, VT. Trails meander through 70 acres of fields and forests and provide many opportunities to enjoy the natural world.

Three trails are marked within the nature area with red, green, or blue blazes. A map showing the trails within the larger North Springfield Lake Recreation / Flood Risk Management area is posted on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers website.

eBird lists the area as a Hotspot with the name “Eleanor Ellis/Springweather Nature Area-N. Springfield Lake” and provides a printable checklist.
