adult Services
We believe that people are capable of overcoming difficult experiences and recovering from mental health and substance use challenges.
HCRS offers comprehensive services for adults who are experiencing mental health and/or substance use difficulties.
Adult services include assessment, treatment including individual, group, couples, and family counseling, referral services, and limited psychiatric services.
There are many pathways to recovery, and we encourage people seeking support from HCRS to also seek support from their communities. We embrace collaborations with other community agencies to ensure quality services are being delivered and your needs are being met.
Some of HCRS’ collaborative efforts include:
- Local hospitals, health clinics, and rehabilitation centers
- AHS District offices (Voc Rehab, Economic Services, DCF)
- Southeastern Vermont Community Action
- Senior Solutions
- Turning Point Recovery Centers
- Family Centers and Resource Centers
- Homeless Shelters and Drop-In Centers
- Supported Housing Projects
- Probation & Parole
- Community Justice Centers
- Community Health Teams
We are committed to building on the strengths of the people and families we serve.
Our goal is to help you and your family achieve improved wellness, health, and quality of life while addressing your mental health and substance use needs.

Being able to have appointments through Zoom has been a huge help. It makes it easier to keep appointments, cuts down on stress as I don’t have to worry about transportation or if I can afford gas for my car. It also helps with anxiety when the weather is bad as I don’t have to drive. It is also really easy to get in contact with your team. Everyone is very reachable by either phone or email…I feel like I can reach out to either our case manager or counselor at any time, which helps with making me feel very supported.
