HCRS proudly hosted our Annual Spring Art Show throughout April at 118 Elliot Gallery in Brattleboro. The exhibit celebrated the artistic talents of HCRS clients and staff, and welcomed many supportive community members to experience a moving display of creativity, connection, and self-expression.

The show kicked off with a vibrant opening reception on April 4, bringing together artists, supporters, and guests for an evening of live music, refreshments, and powerful conversations. The gallery was filled with stunning paintings, sculptures, mixed media, and photography—all reflecting the unique perspectives and talents of the HCRS community.

Art as a Path to Healing

“The energy in the gallery was incredible,” said Jonathan Mattoon, HCRS Case Manager II and event co-organizer. “This show was about more than just art—it was about healing, storytelling, and bringing people together.”

Nickie Godin, HCRS Case Manager III and co-organizer, added, “Art has a unique ability to connect people, spark conversations, and provide a therapeutic outlet. We were thrilled to see so much support for our artists.”

Thank You to Our Supporters

HCRS extends its heartfelt appreciation to the 118 Elliot Gallery for generously providing the space for this special event, and to everyone who attended, engaged with the artists, and celebrated the power of art in our community.
