On Friday 4/4, creativity bloomed in Brattleboro as we hosted our 6th Annual HCRS Spring Art Show’s Opening Reception at 118 Elliot Gallery! This month-long exhibit features artwork from over 50 incredibly talented staff and clients, and brings together our community to celebrate art, expression, and connection.
This isn’t just any art show—it’s a powerful showcase of voices and visions from across HCRS. From vibrant paintings and photography to striking sculptures and mixed media pieces, the art represents our Children’s and Adult Mental Health, Substance Use, Developmental Services, Kindle Farm School, and residential programs.
✨ Opening Reception
Our opening reception was a beautiful kickoff to the exhibit, with an evening of live music, delicious refreshments, and thoughtful conversation. Attendees had the chance to meet some of the artists and hear the stories behind their work in a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
🖼️ A Month of Creativity
For those who couldn’t make the reception, the gallery remains open throughout the month with free admission. We welcome guests across several weekends in April, inviting everyone to experience the creativity, healing, and heart of our HCRS community.
Fridays: April 11, 18, & 25 from 4:00–7:00 PM
Saturdays: April 5, 19, & 26 from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM
Sundays: April 6, 13, & 27 from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM
Why This Art Show Matters
Jonathan Mattoon, HCRS Case Manager and co-organizer, shared, “This show is a diverse display of creative expression, featuring works by both people who receive HCRS services and those who provide them. It’s a powerful way to connect and appreciate the talents in our community.”
